“Ħumāt ad-Diyār” (Arabic: حُمَاةَ الدِّيَار, English: Guardians of the Homeland) is the National Anthem of Syria.
Lyrics of the Syrian National Anthem are penned by Khalil Mardam Bey and the Anthem is Composed by Mohammad Salim Flayfel and Ahmad Salim Flayfel.
The Syrian National Anthem was Adopted in the year 1936.
The Syrian National Anthem is a matter of Pride for all Syrians and it is sung everywhere from Government Offices to Schools and Colleges on specially occasions like Evacuation Day (Republic / Independence Day) on 17 April, Syrian Armed Forces Day on 1 August, etc.

1. Humāta d-diyāri alaykum salām
Abat an tazilla n-nufūsu l-kirām Arīnu l-urūbati baytun harām Wa-arshu sh-shumūsi himan lā yudām Rubū’u sh-sha’āmi burūju l-‘ala Tuhāki s-samā’a bi-āli s-sana Fa-ardun zahat bi-sh-shumūsi l-wida Samā’un la-‘amruka aw ka-s-sama2.
